Welcome to the PGUSD Food Service Program
Has Your Income Decreased?
If so, your student may qualify for free or reduced meals in the cafeteria.
PGUSD participates in the National Lunch and Breakfast program. To be eligible in 2017-2018 for free meals at PGUSD your annual income needs to be below $31,980 for a household of four members. To be eligible for reduced meals a household of four people should earn less than $45,510 a year. You can apply for free or reduced meals at any time during the school year. On the reduced program, lunch costs 40-cents. Breakfast is served at PGHS and PGMS.
Meal applications and additional information is available in the school office, in the cafeteria and on the PGUSD Food and Nutrition website. Please apply online or return the completed paper forms to the cafeteria or to the office staff.
Breakfast Served at PGMS and PGHS
Did you know your student can purchase breakfast for $2.75 every day during the break recess? A breakfast meal consists of an entrée, fruit and milk. Entrée selections vary daily; we offer bagels and cream cheese, breakfast burritos, cereal, mini pancakes and a variety of different nutritious items. Student who are participating in the National School Lunch Program and who are reduced get the meal for .30c.
National studies constantly confirm that eating breakfast helps students concentrate, think, behave and learn.
